Fortuna Redux - The world's first 3D coin in the shape of a cylinder!
Minted at the Polish Mint and issued by the island kingdom of Niue, New Zealand in 2013 in a premium quality proof of the purest 99.9% silver weighing 6 ounces (186.6 g), this exclusive silver gold-plated coin is the world's first ever 3D cylinder-shaped coin. The coin features the motif of the Roman god Mercury (the god of traders and travelers who was often depicted on Roman coins). Mercury brings good luck in business and trade, and his winged angels protect merchants on their travels.
The coin displays a precisely struck Mercury motif on its reverse along with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the face value and weight. The background shows a world map symbolizing travel. The inscriptions "2013" (year of issue), "NIUE ISLAND" (issuer), and "Ag 999" (fineness) follow along the edge. The obverse shows a gold-plated coin with a portrait of Mercury against a background of a map of the galaxy. The portrait is accompanied by the inscription "MERCURY". The third side of the coin depicts a stylized motif of Mercury's winged feet on a background of a world map.
The coin comes in a luxury gift case with a certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 2500 pieces for the whole world!
