A luxury silver coin with a gold 3D sunflower is issued by the State of Samoa for the year 2022, weighing 1 kilogram in the finest 99.9% pure silver proof quality. A parallel 1 kilogram edition of generous weight and diameter follows the success of the 1 ounce Golden Flower Collection.
The second coin of the collection is dedicated to the symbol of summer - the sunflower. The bright yellow flowers of the sunflower embody the joy and positive energy associated with the sunny and warm days of summer. The coin bears a finely detailed 3D sunflower plated in yellow gold on its reverse. The spirally arranged seedheads in the center of the flower are faithfully colored. The outer ring of the coin is completed with the series name "GOLDEN FLOWER COLLECTION" and the year of issue.
The obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian-Rank Broadley with the initials "IRB", the national emblem of Samoa, the inscription "SAMOA" and the face value.
