Cougar - unique gold purity .99999
This exclusive gold coin, issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2019 in a top quality proof weight of 35g in absolute purity of the purest 99.999% gold, is dedicated to Cougar.
This is the first coin in the "Canadian Wildlife Portraits" series.
The reverse of the coin features a close-up view of a cougar in the branches of a tree. The motif is complemented by the inscription "CANADA", the year of issue and the artist's initials "DMJ".
The cougar is a member of the cat family and is native to North, Central and South America. The muscular cat feeds mainly on deer, small animals and fish. Although their population has declined significantly, the cougar is not yet considered an endangered species.
The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "D.G. REGINA". The portrait is accompanied by the purity, weight and face value of "350 DOLLARS".
The coin comes in a burgundy leatherette box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an exclusive limited edition of only 400 pieces for the entire world!
