Wiener Philharmoniker
Austrian Mint (MÜNZE Österreich AG) mints the Wiener Philharmoniker (Vienna Philharmonic) investment coins in gold, silver and, for the first time since 2016, platinum. These are among the most popular European investment coins. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which is the basis for this coin, is considered one of the world's finest musical ensembles. The coins do not contain any other metals. The metal content (in troy ounces) and absolute 99.95% purity of the purest platinum is guaranteed.
The obverse depicts the Great Organ in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein, the seat of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and the inscriptions "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" and the metal name "PLATINA" below.
The reverse bears a selection of nine musical instruments of the symphony orchestra - four violins, a cello, bassoon, harp and horn. In the upper part of the coin the inscription "WIENER PHILHARMONIKER" is given in the description, in the lower part the information about the weight and purity of the metal "1/25 UNZE PLATINUM", "999.5", the year and issue and the nominal value "4 EURO".
