Detailed description

Exclusive set - Native American

The set consists of 2 coins and a genuine arrowhead made by Native Americans.

The first coin is a rare 1913 Indian Head American Quarter Eagle gold coin weighing 4.18 grams and grading 90% gold (the rest is copper) with a face value of $2.5. These gold coins are very rarely found, making them highly sought after by collectors and investors. The Indian Head Quarter Eagle (along with its larger companion, the Half Dollar Eagle) differs from all other U.S. coins in that its relief is submerged into the coin instead of being traditionally struck above the coin's surface, making it flush with the coin. The design of the Indian Head Quarter Eagle was commissioned by the famous Boston sculptor Bela Lyon Pratt. The obverse depicts a realistic design of an Indian head in a feathered war bonnet, with the year of issue placed below the head, 13 stars and the motto LIBERTY forming a circle around the design. The reverse side shows an eagle in a calm pose, standing on an arrow and holding an olive branch, symbolising preparedness and peace. Through judicious sizing and placement, Pratt was able to incorporate the four different inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the denomination without causing imbalance, clutter or crowding.

The second coin is an original 1923 American Buffalo five-cent piece made of copper and nickel. This design was minted by the United States between 1913 and 1938. The obverse features an Indian head, the inscription "LIBERTY 2011" and the maker's mark "F" representing James Earle Fraser. On the reverse is an image of an American buffalo and the inscriptions 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'E PLURIBUS UNUM'. The relief is also by James Earle Fraser. This five-cent piece was the model for one of the most famous gold investment coins, the American Buffalo.

These coins come in a deluxe wooden box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a limited edition of only 1000 pieces for the entire world!
