5 Oz Gold Coin with Pearl - Year of the Goat 2015
Following the huge success of the Titanic and Year of the Dragon silver bullion coins issued by the Fiji Islands and the Zepelin, Jules Verne - Nautilus and Mississippi Steamboat silver and gold bullion coins issued by the Cook Islands, another gold bullion coin dedicated to the Chinese lunar cycle - the Year of the Goat - is being released for 2015.
This five-ounce (155.5 g) Cook Islands-issued coin is struck in 99.9% purest gold and features a genuine mother-of-pearl inner core.
The inner mother-of-pearl circle on the reverse of the coin depicts a precise portrait of a goat from the Chinese lunar calendar in a pink hue. The inscriptions on the outer gold circle are "YEAR OF THE GOAT" and the denomination. The obverse shows a traditional portrait of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II by Ian-Rank Broadley and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "COOK ISLANDS", the year of issue and the artist's initials "IRB".
The coin is encased in its original cut glass presentation plate and comes in a luxury gift case along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an extremely limited edition of only 25 pieces for the entire world!
