Kilo Gold Coin - In the Eyes of the Cougar - Only 10 pieces issued
A unique gold coin, partially enamelled, issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2015 as the second in a series of three coins issued annually between 2014 and 2016 in a premium quality proof weight of 1 kg in 99.99% purest gold, is dedicated to the wildlife of Canada.
The coin features a detailed portrait of a cougar on its reverse and its distinctive look of turquoise eyes highlighted with enamel. The cougar is the largest felid in North America and the largest representative of small cats. The motif is complemented by the inscription "CANADA" and the artist's initials "GL" are placed on the right. The obverse features a traditional portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "D G REGINA", the denomination "250 DOLLARS" and the year of issue.
The coin comes in a dark brown maple wood box along with a numbered certificate of authenticity in an extremely limited edition of only 10 pieces for the entire world!
