Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin - 210th anniversary
This exclusive set of five silver coloured coins was issued by the Republic of Belarus and precisely minted by the German mint B.H. Mayer in 2009 in top quality proof to mark the 210th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, the founder of modern Russian literature.
The oval coins depict on their reverse the colourful motifs of Pushkin's fairy tales in verse and one poem: The Tale of the Golden Cockerel, The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Rich Men, The Tale of Tsar Saltan and Ruslan and Ludmila. The title of the fairy tale in Belarusian is placed above the motif. The obverse shows a portrait of Pushkin with the inscription Republic of Belarus in Belarusian, the denomination, purity and year of issue.
