CombiBar™ - Valcambi SA/ESG
Valcambi dates back to 1961 when it was founded by private Swiss investors under the name Valori & Cambi. Throughout its long history, Valcambi has focused exclusively on the precious metals refining business.
Swiss ingots, minted from the purest 99.99% gold, certified by ESG Edelmetall-Service GmbH & Co. KG in close cooperation with the Valcambi SA refinery, comply with the London Good Delivery Standard (LBMA) and are therefore accepted without any problems in all markets. The gold bars weighing 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 31.1 (1 oz), 50, 100, 250 and 500 g are sealed together with a paper certificate in a protective plastic packaging. Gold bars weighing 1000 g are supplied loose with the certificate of authenticity attached. Ingots weighing up to 500 g are supplied in minted form, while from 50 g onwards, ingots can also be purchased in cast form without protective packaging. Ingots weighing 1 kg are supplied in cast form only and the reverse side bears the ''V'' marks, symbolizing the manufacturer. The upper side of each ingot, including the certificate, contains the purity and weight information, the refinery logo and the serial number.
The Valcambi brand also markets investment products called CombiBar. The smaller gold pieces, available in weights of 5 x 1g, 10 x 1g, 20 x 1g, 10 x 1/10 Oz (31.1g), 50 x 1g and 100 x 1g, are sealed in protective plastic packaging along with the paper certificate. The silver variant offers investment bars weighing 10 x 10g and 100 x 1g. The CombiBar can be described as a form of crisis product, from which the necessary amount of gold can be broken off if necessary and then sold as a fractional product.
