With the celebration of the Chinese New Year on February 17, 2026, it brings a motif for the Year of the Horse. The design of the bars also tells the legend of the thousand-mile horse, which was able to travel a thousand li (approximately a third of a mile) in a single day.

The motif for the front of the bar depicts a mythological horse running through the landscape. It includes the symbol for the "Year of the Horse". The thousand-mile horse, Chinese qianli ma (千里马), is one of the most famous characters in Chinese folklore. It is a mythical creature that can travel a thousand li in a single day. However, it is not only about its speed - in legends it is a symbol of extraordinary talent that is waiting for the opportunity to manifest itself. It is strong, persistent and extremely loyal, but only under the leadership of the right rider, who will demonstrate wisdom, experience and justice. The thousand-mile horse appears in many old stories about military commanders, hearings of ancient events and travel legends. In them, it helps heroes overcome long distances, bring important news or play a key role at a decisive moment. It is often depicted as a faithful companion who stands by its rider even in the most difficult moments.
The symbolism of this horse is rich: perseverance, loyalty, strength, but also a hidden talent that needs recognition. It reminds us that sometimes a person’s true abilities only manifest when they are given space and trust.

The reverse depicts each of the twelve animals of the lunar cycle as a large star surrounding the new moon. Each animal is given a two-hour time slot throughout the day. The dragon, which is fifth clockwise, is at its strongest around 6 o’clock. Its zenith is marked with Chinese characters. The motif is completed by the PAMP refinery logo, the weight and purity of the metal, as well as the serial number of the bar.
